“You may not have seen it — that's perfectly normal.
When I work well, my work goes unseen.”
MBTA masters every type of aerial effect since 1985 — from a baby flight filmed in real conditions (Ricky, 2009) to the invisible securing of Mylène Farmer in front of 40,000 spectators. Every effect is custom-designed, developed in collaboration with the director or stage designer, then executed with absolute technical rigour.
Types of effects
▸Adult human flight
Complete flight system with counterweight, flying machine and custom harness — invisible on screen, maximum safety.
▸Child & baby flight
World reference with the film Ricky (François Ozon) — equipment adapted to the smallest bodies, enhanced safety protocols.
▸Animal flights
Harnesses and flight systems for dogs, birds and other performing animals — animal comfort and safety as priority.
▸Levitation & weightlessness
Apparent suspension effects, live morphing, severed head or body — major illusions mastered from the first take.
▸Appearances & disappearances
Complex scenic effects integrated into the set — the technique disappears, only the magic remains.
▸Cascades & securing
Cascade coordination, invisible artist securing during high-risk shows — Mylène Farmer, Céline Dion at Paris Olympics 2024, JJ Goldman.
